Moving on to more important things...

Okay, so as you can see from the post below, I am now a full-fledged brunette. Again, I could have been a natural brunette before, but it had been so long since I saw my natural hair color, it's hard to tell. I will stand by the belief that it is darker than before cancer. With more gray than I'm comfortable with. And it's curly. The chemo curl is out of control. I have to use some hard core product to make the front stay down. Otherwise it just looks like a 'fro.

I am debating whether I go back to my original blond or stay "au naturale." It's so weird that there is a whole world of people - well, not a world, but my current metro area- who only know me with my short, brown hair.

My biggest problem? I have a closet full of clothes in pinks and purples and light blues... very blond haired, blue eyed kind of colors. Summer colors, if you will. I think my current hair color makes me more of a winter. Or maybe I'm talking out of my ass. I just know my 3 different hot pink dresses don't look quite as good with my brown hair. Then again, I can't fit into those dresses right now, so it's moot.

But some people say they like it. I'm not sure. So I put it to you, the public. Or the 4 people who read this. To dye or not to dye? Do blonds actually have more fun? For those looking for a reference, check out this post.

If I knew how to do a poll on this, I would. Comments?

I've liked brunette for the last six months, maybe blonde for the next...

I like 'em both. If it were me, I would stay brunette so I could go and buy a whole new wardrobe. Then, if I got bored with it and wanted a new color - I'd color it and then go on another shopping spree. In other words - you win either way. AJ

You are a hottie as a blonde or brunette. As someone who's only known you as a blonde, I think the brunette looks great! You can pull off either color and that's something that most people cannot do. Do what makes you feel good. You'll look hot either way!

The pictures are stunning!

Brown-and-pink is super trendy right now but
I think that we deserve new clothes, anyway.

Darling,

You can change your hair color every day if you want. Don't get hung up on who you used to be. Or who you ought to be. You have evolved. You have ridden the biggest rollercoaster of all time and, although you might be a little windblown, you're still fabulous!

Love, RP

just going by the black & white photos, i think the brunette thing looks awesome with your light eyes. but it sounds like you identify more as a blonde, so why the heck not dye it? blond curls are adorable.

but no matter the color: while it's short? you should definitely rock the spike-it, slick-it-back, faux-hawk-it, wear it with a tie and red lipstick hot androgynous thing that i've been jealous of all my life, 'cause you can pull it off.

It's gorgeous whatever you choose...and you are SO lucky it is curly. When mine regrew after my treatment finished last February, it came back like a lavatory brush just dead straight...

Now that I am having treatment again, hopefully, I will get the curls!

I have no opinon on your hair. I do, however, think you should consider giving Lucy highlights.

I am also a BC survivor and I commend you on your strength through it all. You are a beautiful person and I am sure with blond or brunette hair you will still be beautiful. I was considering using the henna I had in the freezer the other day to add some highlights to my mess of unshiny hair. Maybe I will go do that now! Take care.

Late getting my vote in but at the WGAs I loved the hair - and the twins (okay, yes I said I loved th twins but not that way. okay, maybe a little that way, but they were just so damn bouyant!) And I'm here to say the brunette/bright colors combo is fun, kicky, refreshing - and uber-preppy. Not sure if anyone told you, (you have been awfully busy) but you live in the south now. Lilly Pulitzer should be your new best friend.

And I whuile fluv the chemo-curl, it won't be around forever and from what I've heard should lighten up. work the brown curls now, then decide on the blonde. and the pics look gorgeous.
